What is KVPY??

In the age of high competition and continuously increasing fee prices, Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India served as a magic wand for the least benefitted highly intellectual students.

Eligibility

Student of class XI to first-year chosen a course or stream in Science can apply and aspiring or chosen Basic science courses like B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./Int. M.S. in Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Zoology, Physiology, Biotechnology, Neurosciences, Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Cell Biology, Ecology, Molecular Biology, Botany, Marine Biology, Geology, Human Biology, Genetics, Biomedical Sciences, Applied Physics, Geophysics, Materials Science or Environmental Science with the following criteria fulfilled will be eligible.

What is their selection procedure?

For participating in the aptitude test you have to submit the admit card. It will be available around the month of Sep-Oct. Then in the gap of around 15 days, you will be scheduled to give the aptitude test. On the basis of your performance in this test, you will be called for the interview that follows. NOTE

Students pursuing or intended to pursue under-graduate program under Distance Education scheme/correspondence course of any university are not eligible to apply. You are required to score 75% (65% for SC/ST/PWD) in the X Standard Board examination in Science (PCB) and Mathematics, minimum of 60% (50% for SC/ST/PWD) marks in Science subjects (Physics/Chemistry/Biology) in their intermediate examination.
